Does this sound familiar?

Too many young people finish school or uni with no real sense of what comes next, and no real help figuring it out.

The school system asks you to pick a direction before you know who you are. Google gives you lists. Career tests give you job titles that mean nothing. And too many young people drift, uncertain, anxious, and unsure where to even start.

Find Your Path is different. It's a structured, personal programme led by someone who knows exactly what employers want and exactly how to help young people find their own answer.

Finished school or uni and feeling lost?Unsure what to study, what to apply for, or where to even start?
Picking a degree just because it sounds safe?Choosing something without any real sense of whether you'll enjoy it?
Wish someone could just help you figure it out?Someone with real-world experience, not another worksheet or quiz?

What you walk away with

After three sessions with Neil, you won't just feel better about your future, you'll have a clear direction, a written plan, and real conversations with people who already do the job you're interested in.

A genuine understanding of what they want, and why
A real conversation with 1-2 people who do the job they're interested in
A written Direction Report, their personal career roadmap
Practical next steps, specific, actionable, and realistic
Confidence, not just a list of options, but a real sense of direction
The programme

Three sessions. One clear direction.

Each session builds on the last. By the end, you won't just know what you want to do, you'll know exactly how to get there.

1
Session 1, 90 minutes

Discovery

The goal of Session 1 is to uncover what genuinely interests them, not what they think they should say, or what sounds impressive. Neil goes deep on values, strengths, motivations, and lifestyle factors to start mapping a realistic picture of who they are and what kind of work might actually suit them.

What matters to them, what they thrive on, what they absolutely don't want
Their strengths, not just academic, but how they think and how they work
Lifestyle factors, money, flexibility, working with people vs independently
Initial mapping of interests to realistic career pathways
Between sessions

A short reflection sheet, three jobs that sound interesting and why, one that sounds awful and why. Takes 20 minutes and often reveals more than the session itself.

2
Session 2, 90 minutes

Exploration

Taking what came out of Session 1 and going deeper. Neil narrows down to 2-3 genuine directions worth exploring properly, then does something no career test or school counsellor can do: he draws on his 15-year professional network to introduce you to real people who already do the job.

Review reflection homework, what came up, what surprised them
Narrow to 2-3 genuine directions worth exploring
Neil identifies 1-2 people in his network working in each field
Introductions made, real conversations about what the job actually involves day to day
Between sessions

You have conversations with the people Neil introduces you to, a 20-30 minute chat about what a real day in that job actually looks like.

3
Session 3, 90 minutes

Direction

The final session pulls everything together. Neil debriefs the real-world conversations, helps land on a clear direction, and maps out exactly what the path forward looks like, qualifications, entry points, progression, and practical next steps. Then produces the written Direction Report.

Debrief the real-world conversations, what resonated, what didn't
Land on a clear career direction with reasoning behind it
Map the pathway, study options, entry-level roles, progression
Written Direction Report produced and delivered
What makes this different

Real introductions. Not theory.

Every careers programme tells young people to "research jobs online." Find Your Path does something different, Neil reaches into his professional network and introduces you to real people who actually do the job you're interested in.

A 20-minute honest conversation with someone who does the job every day is worth more than any careers booklet, any university open day, or any online quiz. It tells you what the job is really like, the good and the bad, before you commit to a direction.

This is possible because Neil has spent 15 years building relationships across industries, sectors, and seniority levels. Those relationships now work for you.

Real introductions Neil has made
Cybersecurity Analyst
Your child spends 25 minutes with a working security professional hearing what the job actually involves, the day-to-day reality, not the job description.
"I had no idea it was so varied, I thought it was just sitting at a computer all day."
Sales Executive
An honest conversation about targets, pressure, rewards, and what personality traits actually thrive in a sales role, straight from someone living it.
"The rejection thing sounded terrifying, but they told me how you actually get used to it."
Software Engineer
A real picture of what different engineering roles look like, startup vs. corporate, product vs. consulting, the career paths that actually exist.
"I didn't realise how many different types of engineer there are. I know exactly what I want now."
The direction report

Something tangible to keep.

Every Find Your Path programme ends with a written Direction Report, a personalised document your child and your family keep. Not a generic summary, but a specific, reasoned plan written by Neil based on everything that came out of the three sessions.

This is what makes the programme feel like an investment, not just a conversation.

The Direction Report
Delivered after Session 3, personalised to your child
1
Strengths & Motivators
A summary of what drives them, how they work best, and what kind of environment they'll thrive in.
2
Recommended Direction
Their career direction with clear reasoning, why this fits who they are, not just what they're interested in.
3
The Pathway
Study options, qualifications, entry-level roles, and how a realistic career progression looks from here.
4
Next Steps
Specific, actionable steps, what to do in the next 30, 60, and 90 days to move forward with confidence.
5
Neil's Note
A personal note from Neil on why this direction fits them specifically, written for them, not for a file.

About Neil

The person your teenager actually needs to talk to.

Most career counsellors know careers theory. Most recruiters know what employers want. Neil is one of the few people who genuinely knows both, and who has spent years working directly with young people before either.

Before building RedBlue Recruitment into a 15-year business, Neil spent years as a Learning Mentor and Behaviour Manager at a secondary school in London, running group sessions with teenagers on self-esteem, goal-setting, and direction, and providing 1-1 support to young people who needed someone to help them figure out what came next.

He then spent 15 years in recruitment, building deep relationships across industries and learning, from the employer side, exactly what makes someone hire one candidate over another. He has placed hundreds of people into jobs across technology, cybersecurity, sales, leadership, and beyond.

"Find Your Path exists because I kept seeing the same problem, talented young people with no real direction, and parents who had no idea how to help them find one. I have the network, the experience, and the genuine interest in young people to do something about that."

I take a common sense approach and spend time with each individual to get to know them and find out what makes them tick. Building a relationship is key to opening up and exploring what you want to do with your life.

It's a big decision, and it may change down the road, and that is okay. Just honour and embrace what you are feeling now and enjoy the exploration. This should be a fun exercise, not a stressful one.

Neil is based in Sydney on the Northern Beaches and works with families across Greater Sydney.
